Cityfit has demonstrated their commitment to the Bathurst community by signing on as the major sponsor of the Bathurst Sports Awards and the Bathurst Triathlon Scott Carroll Memorial race for the third year running.
We support many community events throughout the year,” said Cityfit Operations Manager, Alisha Pollard. “Both the Triathlon and the Sports Awards promote fitness and a healthy lifestyle, values that we believe in very strongly.”
“The Sports Awards are a unique event that not only recognises sporting stars but also helps raise funds for the Bathurst community.
“Our investment in the Sports Awards has helped promote and strengthen this important event whilst contributing to the charities that the Bathurst Rotary Club supports.”
“The awards shine a light on Bathurst’s elite athletes, sporting teams, administrators and referees. We believe it’s important to recognise the hard work and commitment that is needed to succeed in sport, whatever role your take,” added Alisha.
Cityfit is selling tickets for the Sports Awards dinner up until Wednesday the 25th of March. Tickets are $50.00 for adults and $25.00 for children under 12. If past years are anything to go by this event will sell out.
As the major sponsor of this weekend’s Scott/Carroll Memorial Triathlon, Cityfit has contributed towards the costs of running the event and donated prizes for children..
“Any children that enter the Joey’s Triathlon go in the draw to win one of 20 back packs and various Cityfit vouchers,” said Alisha.
“The Triathlon is a wonderful opportunity for all ages and fitness levels to participate in a sport, from a six year old swimming 25m for the first time through to a seasoned triathlete that tackles the whole course. The event encourages everyone to get involved and get active.”
The Scott Carroll Memorial Triathlon will be held this Sunday 22nd March, registrations can be made on the website at www.bathursttriclub.com.
“Good luck to all the athletes involved in these community events, we are proud to be part of them and to give back to Bathurst,” added Alisha.
